Family-owned and operated for almost 80 years, Moyer’s Gas Service is a propane and heating business located in Freeburg, Pennsylvania. The business was established in 1940 by L.H. Moyer and his son P. Wayne Moyer. In 1971, P. Wayne Moyer’s son, Philip, joined the business, and his daughter, Jill Moyer, came on board in 1996. Philip’s son, Adam, continued the family tradition when he joined the business in 1997.
In 2018, the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association selected Moyer’s Gas Service for its Family Portrait Series. They produced a 12-minute documentary about the history of the Moyer family and their entry into the propane business. The video was featured at the PAPGA’s annual fall membership meeting.
